It would be heart breaking to see a child seriously injured by a body check and many young players probably have the wrong idea about checking in the game and lack consideration for other players or perhaps small players and their safety.

The stars of the NHL are coming to Atlanta in 2008 with the NHL All-Star game to be played at Philips Arena. The 2008 Celebration marks the first time Atlanta has hosted NHL All-Star activities which will feature the YoungStars Game, SuperSkills Competition and All-Star Game.

It is not easy to keep the puck out of the net so it is quite impressive hockey that we are seeing around the league. P. Leclaire of Columbus with 5 shutouts and H. Lundqvist with his 4th last night and their respective teams have been most consistant so far.

The Toronto Maple Leafs struggled terribly through their first 10 games of the season. Many of us pondered over and over again what the hell was wrong with them. They were scoring a ton of goals but were falling a part in the 3rd period, taking too many stupid penalties, turning over the puck, and Raycroft when he was in net was letting in many soft goals.

Fantasy Hockey players can get very anxious over these kind of things,,, he gets a shutout!, he gets a shutout not?

Recently I was very curious about who potentially would get a shutout in a 0-0 tie.  This came up after the Saturday, October 20, 2007 - BOSTON 1, NY RANGERS 0 (ShootOut) game where the game was tied 0-0 in regulation.
