Joe Sakic tried his back out this afternoon but it was decided that he wasn't ready and he missed his fourth game in a row due to injury. As a point a game player, the Flames are thankful he couldn't notch a point today as they held the Avs off the scoreboard and Miikka Kiprusoff stopped eighteen shots to record his second shut-out of the season.
