Articles NHL GMs agree on new head shot rule By Hockey5 Published: March 10, 2010 Print    Email NHL general managers have developed the framework for a new rule punishing hits to the head. The league's 30 GMs wrapped up three days of meetings with a new rule that allows referees to assess a minor or major penalty for blindside hits that target the head.
