Going into Sunday's NHL games, three teams were tied for 5th place in the Eastern Conference, and one point separated five-through-seven in the West.
So it's little wonder that this time of year always brings a few emails on the topic of tiebreakers.
How does the NHL break a tie in the final standings?
It's a relevant question, given the logjam as the season enters the home stretch.
